Established in 2005, “MINERVA” Language Centre has already gained a wealth of experience in offering quality educational and translation services and enjoys accumulated client trust. We are happy to maintain a strong and friendly relationship with our students and their parents and to have an excellent partnership with other companies. A number of Bulgarian and international companies, leaders in their field, have so far benefited from our training programmes as well as our translation solutions to their needs since we provide the optimal balance between speed, quality and cost.

MINERVA is a limited liability company, registered at Ruse District Court and entered into the Commercial Register of the Registry Agency at the Ministry of Justice.
The company’s business activities involve educational services, organising language courses, preparation and assistance for sitting internationally recognised exams, translation and legalisation services, etc.
Out motto is “Better Every Day” and it reflects our aspirations for constant improvement, perfection and attention to detail – the little things that make the big difference and set us apart.
Since its very beginning the company has taken solid ground and has constantly been developing. The work of its founders, however, dates many years back and the company was a natural development into new opportunities and challenges, emphasising on modern intellectual products and exploiting the potential of the human resources. Blessed on the opening day by the Mayor of the Municipality of Ruse at the time, Ms Eleonora Nikolova, on 24 May, the Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Literature Day, the company team undertook, first of all, not to spare themselves in their work and serve the society by contributing to the competitiveness of its citizens in a contemporary European context.
The next months witnessed efforts in promoting the brand directed mostly towards establishing efficient organisation of work and improving the output. Well aware of the power of personal recommendation in our business, we focused on building up an army of satisfied clients who would turn into our best publicity. There followed successful courses, many international certificates gained by our students, unique and memorable school parties and plays, establishment of contacts with other companies and their development into long-lasting partnerships. At present the company logically enjoys a good image as a result of the efforts, transformed into a routine, to add value to both sides of the company-clients partnership.
“MINERVA” Language Centre was founded on the basis of fundamental values guiding its founders through the years, forming the company culture and safeguarding its good reputation so that the name MINERVA instils trust and respect. Goddess Minerva was an ancient Roman goddess of wisdom and reason, of warfare for a good cause, protector of handicrafts, arts, schools and sciences. She was the daughter of Jupiter, the king of the gods. She corresponds to the ancient Greek goddess Athena, daughter of Zeus. Born shining with beauty and completely armed from the head of Jupiter, her name is related to the mind and memory, wisdom and reason.
As a goddess of wisdom she is often depicted as an owl. Among other symbols related to Minerva are a house (the first goddess who built a house), a spire and helmet (as a goddess of war for a good purpose), an olive tree (a symbol of peace, wisdom and victory), a butterfly (a symbol of life, happiness and prosperity) and others. Among the colours which are holy symbols of Minerva are orange, emerald green and royal blue.
Nine-tenths of wisdom consists in being wise in time.

Team
Katya Tomova
She graduated in Bulgarian and English from the University of Plovdiv ‘Paisii Hilendarski’ with a Master’s Degree and completed an additional two-year specialisation in Bank Administration. She attended seminars for teachers organised by the British Council and completed training in Swansea, Wales.
She passed the Certificate of Proficiency in English, the highest level of general English exams of Cambridge English Language Assessment.
She possesses excellent managerial skills and is the main driving force of the work at the company. She is very creative in her work during and between the lessons, organises memorable school parties and, as a whole, turns the life at the school into a much more valuable and fulfilling experience.
As a tutor at MINERVA she teaches General English and groups for specialised preparation for international examinations.

Emil Panayotov
He graduated in Bulgarian and English from the University of Plovdiv ‘Paisii Hilendarski’ with a Master’s Degree and completed an additional two-year specialisation in Journalism. He also acquired a degree in Military Translation at the National Military University in Veliko Tarnovo.
He passed the Certificate of Proficiency in English, the highest level of general English exams of Cambridge English Language Assessment. He has also had experience as a certified Cambridge Assessment examiner in Bulgaria.
He possesses a constant desire for self-development and eagerness to learn. He attended training seminars organised by the British Council and specialised in London, UK.
As a tutor at MINERVA he teaches General English, Business English, Bulgarian for Foreigners, as well as groups for specialised preparation for international examinations.
